EuroAirport transfers, chauffeur service for pharma, the Messe, Art Basel and the Swiss Indoors, VIP and event rides, transfers to Zurich, Bern and the Bernese Oberland — fixed prices, Mercedes fleet, around the clock.
Book NowFirst Limo drives in Basel for people whose day starts at the EuroAirport and ends in the Roche Tower, on the Novartis Campus or in Hall 1 of the Messe. Our limousine service in Basel works with fixed prices agreed before the ride, chauffeurs who understand three-country traffic, and Mercedes cars washed before every pick-up — because outside Les Trois Rois on Blumenrain, everybody looks.
Basel is the Swiss city with the shortest distances and the tightest schedules: 15 minutes from the airport to the centre, 8 minutes from the SBB station to the Messe, one hour to Zurich. Which is exactly why a good chauffeur service here is not judged on distance but on punctuality to the minute — above all in Art Basel week, during Fasnacht, during the Swiss Indoors and whenever the Rhine embankment is closed. This page gathers everything we do in Basel: airport transfers, corporate accounts, VIP and delegations, events and weddings, group shuttles, hourly hire, excursions.

Stress-free transfers to and from Zurich, Geneva and Basel airports. With flight monitoring and meet & greet.

Learn MorePeople book a chauffeur in Basel for one of three reasons. The first is pharma: Roche on Grenzacherstrasse with the two tallest buildings in Switzerland, the Novartis Campus in St. Johann with its access controls, plus Lonza, Syngenta, Straumann and the suppliers in Bachgraben and Allschwil. The second is the Messe: Art Basel in June, Swissbau in January, the conferences at the Congress Center Basel on Messeplatz, the Swiss Indoors at the St. Jakobshalle in October — weeks in which every hotel between Kleinbasel and the SBB station is full and a car with a chauffeur is the only reliable way to get from the Vitra Campus to the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen and on to dinner at Stucki on the Bruderholz.
The third reason is the airport. EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg stands on French soil but has a Swiss sector with its own access road — and if you leave through the wrong sector you are on the wrong side of a customs border. Your chauffeur meets you in the Swiss sector arrivals hall with a name board; if you are continuing to Mulhouse, Colmar or Freiburg we collect you at the French exit on request. The drive from the EuroAirport into central Basel starts from CHF 80 in the Mercedes E-Class and takes 15 minutes, 12 to the Novartis Campus, 18 to the Messe, 22 to Riehen. Fixed prices are calculated at CHF 4.20 per kilometre with a CHF 80 minimum; the S-Class, V-Class and Maybach are priced above that.
Many Basel business travellers do not fly from Basel at all — the EuroAirport serves mainly Europe, and intercontinental flights leave from Zurich. The Basel to Zurich Airport transfer is therefore our most-driven route out of the city: 87 kilometres on the A3, usually 60 to 65 minutes, up to 80 in the morning peak, fixed price from CHF 360 in the E-Class. The chauffeur collects you at home, at the hotel or at the office, loads the luggage, and you step out directly in front of Check-in 1 or 2 — no change at Basel SBB, no dragging suitcases through the airport railway station. For return flights landing in Arrivals 2 the chauffeur waits in the hall with a name board; the first 60 minutes of waiting are included.
The same applies to arrivals at the EuroAirport: we track the flight number, wait in the Swiss sector, and a late flight from London or Amsterdam costs you no surcharge. Business aviation at the EuroAirport is served through the general-aviation access (Jet Aviation, Air Service Basel). Onward transfers from the EuroAirport at fixed prices: Zurich city from CHF 360, Bern from CHF 420 (70 min), Lucerne from CHF 460 (75 min), Geneva from CHF 1,050; Grindelwald, Wengen and Interlaken for a ski holiday in around two hours, Zermatt (to Täsch) in three, Colmar in 55 minutes, Freiburg in 50, Strasbourg in 1 h 30.
Basel corporate clients book differently from Zurich ones: fewer single rides, more week-long programmes. A pharmaceutical company collects an audit delegation at the EuroAirport on Monday, moves it between hotel, site and restaurant for three days, and takes it to Zurich for a long-haul flight on Thursday. A gallery needs two V-Classes from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. through Art Basel week. A law-firm partner from the Aeschenvorstadt quarter wants to be in Bern every Friday at 16:30. A private bank on St. Alban-Graben takes its clients to the Fondation Beyeler and to dinner at Restaurant Krafft. For all of that we open a corporate account: one monthly invoice with Swiss VAT itemised by cost centre, a named contact, and guaranteed availability in the fair weeks — which we block six months ahead.
Hourly chauffeur hire in Basel starts from CHF 200 per hour with a two-hour minimum and 20 kilometres per hour included. That is the right format for a day of meetings between Grossbasel, the Novartis Campus, Bachgraben and the airport, for a Basel–Zurich–Zug roadshow, or for a client visit that ends with lunch at the Volkshaus and dinner at Restaurant Krafft. Our chauffeurs speak English, German and French, wear dark suits, sign confidentiality agreements and know the access roads to Basel's sites — including the ones that are not on Google Maps. For companies with zero-emission travel policies — now the rule in Basel pharma — we run the fully electric EQS and EQE.
Basel has two weeks a year in which the city receives guests who wait nowhere: Art Basel in June, when collectors, museum directors and gallerists shuttle between the Messe, the Fondation Beyeler, the Kunstmuseum, the Schaulager and the private collections in Riehen and Binningen, and the Swiss Indoors in October, when players, sponsors and their guests are moved between the St. Jakobshalle, Les Trois Rois and the restaurants of the centre. Add the annual general meetings and board sessions of the pharma companies, state visits to the Rathaus, and families who live in Basel and prefer not to be seen.
Our VIP service means what the word means here: the car in place before the guest appears, doors opened, luggage taken without being asked, no phone at the wheel, no conversation unless invited, the route agreed with the security detail in advance, the same chauffeur for the whole stay. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is our vehicle for principals, the S-Class for board members, the V-Class for staff and artworks; motorcades with lead and follow cars are coordinated by one dispatcher. We do not photograph, name or reference clients.
Basel's calendar is its own, and we plan around it. In January the Museum Night and Swissbau; at four in the morning on the Monday after Ash Wednesday the Morgestraich, when the centre is closed for three days and the car waits at Wettsteinplatz or Aeschenplatz; in June Art Basel with Liste and Design Miami/Basel; in July the Basel Tattoo at the Kaserne; in August the Rhine swim; in October the Swiss Indoors at the St. Jakobshalle; at the end of October the Herbstmesse, when Petersplatz, Barfüsserplatz and Münsterplatz cannot be reached by car; in December the Christmas markets on Barfüsserplatz and Münsterplatz. Plus FC Basel home games at St. Jakob-Park, premieres at Theater Basel, concerts at the Stadtcasino and galas at Les Trois Rois. For each we know the closures, the drop-off points and the time it really takes to leave.
Weddings in Basel: the civil ceremony at the Rathaus on Marktplatz, the service in the Basel Minster, the Elisabethenkirche or the Peterskirche, photographs on the Pfalz above the Rhine or in the Merian Gardens, the reception at Les Trois Rois, the Grand Casino, Schloss Bottmingen, the Landgut Castelen or on a Basel river boat. We provide the bridal car (S-Class or Maybach, ribbons on request), the family cars, the guest shuttles in V-Class and Sprinter and the meet & greet at the EuroAirport or in Zurich for arriving guests — coordinated by one dispatcher with a written timetable. The chauffeur stays for the day.
Grossbasel. The Old Town between Marktplatz, Spalenberg and the Minster hill is largely pedestrianised — pick-ups on Blumenrain (Les Trois Rois), at the edge of Barfüsserplatz, at the Schifflände or on Aeschenplatz. St. Alban with the Kunstmuseum, the private banks and the villas on St. Alban-Rheinweg; Gundeldingen and the SBB station on Centralbahnplatz (forecourt on Centralbahnstrasse, not the Passerelle); the Bruderholz with Stucki and the residences; Bachletten and Neubad. St. Johann with the Novartis Campus (access via Fabrikstrasse, registration at reception) and the University Hospital on Petersgraben. Allschwil and the Bachgraben with the new life-sciences buildings; Binningen and Bottmingen with private residences.
Kleinbasel. The Messe and Rosental with the Congress Center, the Hyperion and the Swissôtel; Clara and Rheingasse with the Krafft; Wettstein with Roche Buildings 1 and 2 (access via Grenzacherstrasse, visitor entrance) and the Kaserne; Hirzbrunnen and Riehen with the Fondation Beyeler (Baselstrasse 101) and the collectors' villas. Across the border: Weil am Rhein with the Vitra Campus (15 min), Lörrach (15 min), Saint-Louis and the EuroAirport (15 min), Huningue. Münchenstein with the Dreispitz, the Schaulager and HeK; St. Jakob with the stadium and the St. Jakobshalle. The whole agglomeration — Riehen, Binningen, Allschwil, Muttenz, Pratteln, Reinach, Arlesheim, Dornach — is served with no approach fee; border crossings into Germany and France are also free of surcharge.
Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois, Blumenrain 8 — forecourt on Blumenrain, timed slots in Art Basel week. Hotel Krafft, Rheingasse 12 — pick-up on Rheingasse or at the Kaserne. Der Teufelhof, Leonhardsgraben 49. Nomad Design & Lifestyle Hotel, Brunngässlein 8. Volkshaus Basel, Rebgasse 12–14. Hyperion Hotel Basel, Messeplatz 12, and Swissôtel Le Plaza, Messeplatz 25 — via Riehenstrasse on fair days. Grand Hotel Euler, Centralbahnplatz 14, and Mövenpick Hotel Basel, Aeschengraben 25 — both at the SBB station. Radisson Blu, Steinentorstrasse 25. Hotel Basel, Münzgasse 12, on the edge of the Old Town.
Other fixed points: Basel SBB station (Centralbahnstrasse), Badischer Bahnhof (Schwarzwaldallee), EuroAirport Swiss sector, Messe Basel Halls 1 and 2 with the Congress Center, the St. Jakobshalle and St. Jakob-Park, the Kunstmuseum at St. Alban-Graben 16, the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen, the Museum Tinguely on Paul Sacher-Anlage, the Vitra Campus in Weil, the University Hospital at Petersgraben 4, Merian Iselin on Föhrenstrasse, Bethesda Hospital in the Gellert, St. Claraspital in Kleinbasel, Roche Building 1 at Grenzacherstrasse 124, the Novartis Campus on Fabrikstrasse, Theater Basel, the Stadtcasino on Steinenberg. Tell us the venue and we will tell you where the car will be — before you land.
The Mercedes E-Class is the Basel standard limousine — for the EuroAirport transfer, the trip to the Messe and the drive to Zurich. We run the S-Class for board members, heads of delegation and guests of Les Trois Rois who want to work in the back; the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class for occasions where the car itself is part of the welcome. The V-Class seats up to seven with luggage and is the most-booked vehicle in Art Basel week, because it carries collectors, advisers and artworks at the same time.
For companies with zero-emission travel policies the fully electric EQS and EQE are available; both manage Basel–Zurich–Basel on a single charge. Every car carries water, chargers and Wi-Fi and is washed before every pick-up. For larger groups, such as site visits or conference shuttles between hotel and Messe, we use the Mercedes Sprinter. Child seats are provided on request at no charge; all vehicles run winter tyres in season.
For congresses at the Congress Center Basel, for galleries and collector groups in Art Basel week, for company incentives, site visits to Roche and Novartis, schools, sports teams and delegations of twenty to two hundred people we run shuttle programmes with V-Classes and Sprinters: arrivals staggered across a day at the EuroAirport and in Zurich, hotel-to-Messe loops in the morning and evening, a gala-dinner run to Stucki or the Vitra Campus, and departures on the last day timed to each flight. One dispatcher, one written plan, one invoice.
This is also where a fixed price beats a meter. A Basel taxi from the EuroAirport to the Messe is charged by the minute in traffic and by the piece for luggage; our transfer is a fixed CHF 80 in the E-Class, luggage, waiting and meet & greet included — and the V-Class for six or seven people costs less per head than two taxis. For recurring shuttles — a school run to the International School Basel in Reinach, a weekly staff transfer to Kaiseraugst or Stein — we quote a monthly flat rate.
Basel is the one place in Switzerland from which three countries are under an hour away — and a private chauffeur turns that into a day out instead of three border crossings in a rental car. The Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein is 15 minutes away, Freiburg im Breisgau 50, Colmar and the Alsace wine route 55, Strasbourg 1 h 30, Baden-Baden 1 h 45. On the Swiss side: Lucerne in 75 minutes, Bern in 65, the Goetheanum in Dornach in 20, Augusta Raurica in 15, and the Bernese Oberland with Interlaken, Grindelwald and Wengen in a little over two hours.
We book such days by the hour or as a fixed-price day — whichever is cheaper for you — and the chauffeur stays with the car. A typical Basel day: pick-up at Les Trois Rois at nine, the Fondation Beyeler at half past, the Vitra Campus with lunch at twelve, Colmar in the afternoon, back on Blumenrain by six — nine hours, three countries, one car, one price agreed in the morning.
Our Basel prices are built on one rate: CHF 4.20 per kilometre in the Mercedes E-Class, rounded down to the nearest ten, with a CHF 80 minimum per ride. That gives the EuroAirport transfer into town from CHF 80, Basel to Zurich Airport from CHF 360, Bern from CHF 420, Lucerne from CHF 460, Geneva from CHF 1,050. Hourly hire is from CHF 200 per hour with a two-hour minimum and 20 kilometres per hour included, billed in half-hour steps after that. The S-Class, V-Class and Maybach carry a class surcharge that we state with the quote.
Included in every price: the chauffeur, fuel, motorway vignette, Swiss VAT, meet & greet with name board, 60 minutes of waiting after landing at the airport and 15 minutes at any other address, luggage and skis, child seats, water and Wi-Fi. Not charged: night rides, Sundays and public holidays, the French sector, border crossings into Germany and France. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the pick-up; flight delays are tracked and never billed. Payment by card, by invoice for corporate accounts, or in the car.
Book online in two minutes, or call or WhatsApp us on +41 76 565 15 05 — we answer in English, German and French around the clock. You receive a written confirmation with the fixed price, the vehicle class and your chauffeur's name and mobile number the evening before. For airport arrivals send us the flight number; for the French sector, a hotel with a difficult forecourt or a corporate site with access control, one line in the booking is enough — we do the rest.
For corporate accounts we set up a monthly invoice, a dedicated contact and, where useful, a standing schedule. For events and weddings we send a vehicle plan with times, cars and chauffeurs for your approval. The price you see for Basel is the price you pay.
