Lake Geneva, also known as Lac Léman, is the largest lake in Western Europe and one of the most beautiful regions of Switzerland. A limousine tour along its shores combines breathtaking landscapes, historic cities and first-class wine regions into an unforgettable experience.
The Route: From Geneva to Montreux
Our classic Lake Geneva tour starts in Geneva and follows the northern lakeshore eastwards. The entire route covers approximately 100 kilometres and can be arranged as a half-day or full-day tour depending on your wishes.
First stop: Lausanne, the Olympic Capital, sits enthroned above the lake with its Gothic cathedral and charming town centre. From here, a breathtaking panoramic view of the lake and the Alps unfolds.
The Lavaux Vineyards
Between Lausanne and Montreux stretch the Lavaux vineyards, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The terraced vine slopes drop steeply to the lake and offer one of the most spectacular cultural landscapes in Europe. On request, we arrange a wine tasting at a local winery.
Montreux and Château de Chillon
Montreux is known for its mild climate, palm-lined lakefront promenade and the world-famous Jazz Festival. Château de Chillon, a medieval water castle right on the lakeshore, is the most visited historic building in Switzerland.
Practical Information
The tour can start from Geneva, Lausanne or any other location on the lake. We recommend a full-day tour of 6 to 8 hours to enjoy all highlights at leisure. Lunch at a lakeside restaurant in Lutry or Vevey can be included on request.
From Zurich, you can reach Geneva in approximately 2 hours 45 minutes. We are happy to pick you up from your hotel, the airport or another location of your choice.
